Amnesty International Nepal’s General Meeting elects a National Board (NB) for a term of two years to oversee and guide its human rights works. The NB prepares policies to ensure implementation of decisions of the Global Assembly (GA). Further, the NB follows recommendations and decisions taken at the General Meeting and ensures successful implementation of the same. Additionally, it reviews and evaluates activities of Amnesty Nepal and its membership. The NB constitutes of a directly elected Chair, a directly elected Treasurer and nine members elected by the General Meeting. The first meeting of the newly elected Board appoints Vice Chairperson, General Secretary and Deputy General Secretary. The NB also constitutes of a minimum of three women and two youths of whom one is a female. The current board has four women, and is as below:
