Amnesty Nepal undertakes research and investigation to help understand facts of individual cases and patterns of human rights abuses. These research findings serve as the basis to launch our human rights campaigns and mobilize our members and supporters to take actions to address these issues.
Amnesty Nepal addresses human rights issues within a varied group of multi-stakeholders involving the government, intergovernmental organizations, companies and other non-state actors. To effectively work alongside stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, Amnesty Nepal undertakes campaigns and mobilizing activities based on the findings of the systematic and impartial research conducted by both the local as well as International Secretariat Researchers. Research undertaken helps to understand facts of individual cases and patterns of human rights abuses. Members, supporters and staff of Amnesty Nepal mobilize public pressure on government bodies and other public and private institutions to stop and prevent any forms of abuse.
In addition to its work on specific abuses of human rights, Amnesty Nepal urges all government agencies and public authorities to observe the rule of law and to ratify and implement international human rights standards.
