On 25 October, AI Nepal organized a day workshop on ‘AI Campaign and Letter Writing’ for the thematic coordinators AI Nepal’s Groups.
Altogether 39 participants attended the programme hosted by AI Nepal Group-64, Chitwan. At the programme, National Executive Committee Member Keshab Sigdel, Director Rameshwar Nepal and Programme Officer Bhola Bhattarai facilitated various sessions including some practical session on how to prepare model letter that is to be sent to the concerned authorities responding human rights violation and abuses. The program was organized with a aim to empower thematic coordinators with the campaigning and letter writing techneques over the cases of human rights violations and abuses. AI Nepal’s Group members have been working in different thematic such as Health Professional Network, International Legal Network, Individual Campaign Network, Refugee and Migrant Network, Women Rights Network and Death Penalty.
AI Nepal’s Acting Chairperson Dhruba Kumar Karki, Treasurer Shambhu Thakur and National Executive Committee Member Bikram Dhukuchhu were also present in the program.
Earlier, an inaugural ceremony had held on 24 October. In the ceremony chaired by the Convener of AI Nepal Group-64 Ram Chandra Mishra and conducted by the Group Secretary Dhana Prasad Regmi various speakers including President of District Bar Association of Chitwan Jagannath Bhandari, AI Nepal’s Acting Chairperson Dhruba Kumar Karki, NEC Member Keshab Sigdel, Director Rameshwar Nepal, District Representative of INSEC Mukunda Dahal, Literate Dhanaraj Giri, AI members Shashikala Adhikari and Manoj Kumar Acharya, Warden of Chitwan National Park Ananath Baral and Hotel Entrepreneur Haribhakta Ghimire shed lights about various aspects of the campaigning on human rights.
