Amnesty International Nepal Section marked the 56th anniversary of its establishment by organising an event on 28 May in Kathmandu.
During the event, the Human Rights Defenders Campaign: BRAVE was also locally launched honoring the courage and determination of the HRDs who have stood up and spoken out for truth, human rights and ending discrimination and injustice.
A signature campaign urging the safety and release of a Sudanese HRD Dr. Mudawi Ibrahim Adam and Cambodian housing rights activist Tep Vanny, both of whom remain under detention, was conducted.
