AI Nepal organised a candlelight vigil in the memory of those who lost their lives in the devastating earthquake. The programme was organised on the occassion of Amnesty International’s 54th anniversary.
Activists gathered at Shatibatika in Kathmandu, lit candles and offered condolences. More than 9,000 people were killed in the earthquake.
Over 150 AI members and supporters and representatives from media joined the event. Vice-chairperson Pratap Paudel, Deputy General Secretary Bikram Dhukuchhu, Member of Appeal Committee Ashok Shrestha Joshi also attended the programme.
