Campaigns Skills Training for Amnesty Nepal Members held in Letang, Morang

Amnesty International Nepal organised a campaigns skills training programme for its members on 29 and 30 June in Letang of Morang district. The training aimed at capacitating and inspiring Amnesty members to become more forthcoming with impactful human rights activities and campaign strategies at ground.

The first day of the training sessions were mainly led by former Chairs and current advisors, Raju Sarkar and Pradip Pokharel who dwelt on the basics of human rights including the historical background in both national and international context. Sessions were also conducted by board Vice Chair Parbata Acharya who spoke about women’s rights issues and board Deputy General Secretary Bipin Budhathoki who took a session on youth activism and leadership challenges. Other sessions undertaken included a session on human rights campaigns, human rights education, among others.
