Amnesty International’s (AI) Annual Global Report 2016/17 was released in Nepal on 22 February, 2017. The report documents the state of human rights in 159 countries and territories and reveals that there was a global push back against human rights in 2016.
Nirajan Thapaliya , Director of AI Nepal presented on the synopsis of the report including the Nepal Entry followed by the release from Rajan Kuikel, Chairperson of AI Nepal and Nutan Thapaliya, Founder of AI Nepal. The report release programme was attended by about 150 people including human right activists, civil society organizations, development partners, media, trade union activists and AI members.
