The 100th International Women's Day observed

Amnesty International Nepal organized an interaction programme in Katmandu on 7th of March, 2010 on the occasion of The 100th International Women’s Day. On the occasion AI Nepal raised concern about the security Of Women Rights Defenders.

Speaking on the programme Treasurer of AI Nepal Rashmila Bhochhibhoya expressed concern about the threats to the women rights defenders and urged to the government for their security.

On the occasion Member of the Appeal Committee of AI Nepal Bimala Gautam suggested that women themselves should be aware about their rights.She also added that state should be positive towards the security of the women rights defenders.

The programme was chaired by the convener of the AI Nepal Group-80, Surya Bahadur Adhikari. The event was hosted by the Group 80.
